We have a new name: the Academic Skills Unit! Our new name reflects both the importance of developing academic literacy skills in today's university and employment environment, and also the fact that our services are for all students: local and international, undergraduate and graduate. Remember our new name, Academic Skills Unit, if you want assistance with tertiary writing, time and task management, oral presentations, exam preparation, English language development and much more!
ASU individual tutorials now take place at your Student Centre. From July 1, bookings for these tutorials will need to be made at your Student Centre. Please phone your Student Centre to make an appointment.

In Semester 2, the Academic Skills Unit (ASU) will again offer University-wide and faculty-based generic workshops on language and academic skills (see Classes). Upon request, the ASU can also develop and deliver workshops tailored to specific subjects ('targeted workshops'). Subject coordinators are invited to consider how an ASU targeted workshop could be integrated into Semester 2 teaching programs. More information
