Employment Experience Fair

The 2009 Employment Experience Fair provided a fantastic opportunity for more than 2.500 students to find out more about vacation work programs, cooperative placements, paid internships, working holidays and overseas graduate employment.

More than 40 organisations including local and international employers and various departments from within the University of Melbourne attended the event. Students enjoyed meeting and talking to employers about their organisations and employment options.

Employers appreciated the opportunity to meet talented University of Melbourne students on campus and made comments such as:

“Students were well prepared and polite.”

“Students were very engaging and asked lots of relevant questions.”

“Students were well prepared and very proactive about their careers”.

Employers were pleased with the Employment Experience Fair and made comments such as:

"As always, well organised and run."

"Catering is always the best at Melbourne University!"

Can your promotional material be recycled?

Students value employers who are responsible corporate citizens so we encourage you to use promotional materials that can be recycled. Avoid wax covered and laminated paper. Consider carefully any free items you give to students at fairs or information sessions. Suggestions for recyclable items: calico/paper show bags instead of plastic, USB pens, bottled water, solar power adapter

Let’s work together towards an environmentally friendly marketing approach.
