Global Opportunities Fair
Date: Monday 8th September, 2008
Time: 12 – 4 pm
Venue: Grand Buffet Hall, Union House, The University of Melbourne
Following the great success of the 2007 Global Opportunities Fair, The University of Melbourne will again be holding a Global Opportunities Fair on the 8th September 2008.
With over 40,000 students enrolled including 11,000 international students from around the world, the University of Melbourne is a great place to source talented and enthusiastic graduates for your company or organisation.
According to the Times Higher Education Supplement, 2007 World University Rankings, Melbourne was ranked in the top 10 for the employability of its graduates. "The University of Melbourne emerges by some distance as Asia's favorite institution with recruiters". (The Times Higher Education Supplement, November 9, 2007).
Participating in the Fair will allow you to:
- Introduce your organisation to prospective international graduates
- Publicise your recruitment activities on campus and distribute recruitment information and applications to students
- Raise your profile and reputation
- Be part of a Careers Fair that will attract a large number of interested prospective employees!
Who should be participating?
- International companies recruiting graduates planning to return home after their studies
- Australian based organisations recruiting for subsidiaries and operations overseas
- Global companies who recruit across nationalities and regions
- Organisations offering international opportunities via internships, exchanges or experiential learning and working experience post graduation
The University of Melbourne's highly educated and increasingly mobile student community see the Global Opportunity Fair as a unique, on campus opportunity to find out about career and job opportunities globally.
