Academic Enrichment Services Careers & Employment

Reach targeted students

Careers & Employment offers the following services to employers who are currently advertising employment opportunities – direct mail and emails to students, distribution of marketing material on campus and web banner advertisements.

Targeted direct mail and email to students

Apart from attending careers fairs and employer information sessions, student feedback indicates that they prefer to receive information about employment opportunities via mail and email.

You can use these methods to encourage applicants from a particular cohort of students. For example, you can target students by course, discipline, year level, and country of origin. We will then search the University’s database to extract the relevant information and send postal or electronic mail on your behalf. University policy prevents the release of students’ names to outside organisations.

This service can also be used to enhance your recruitment planning and marketing strategies by providing accurate student numbers, however, general information about graduating student numbers by faculty/discipline and international student enrolments by country is available on our website

Conditions - mail

C&E will add the following disclaimer to the material you have pre-packed:

Web Banner Advertising

Have your organisation's logo, with a brief tag reminding students of your vacancy close date, placed on the Careers Online student log on page. This banner ad can be hyperlinked to your job advertisement on the system. Around 1,000 students and recent graduates access the site per day so it is a good way to capture their attention.

The cost of a web banner ad is $300 per week, and is available throughout the year.

Distribute promotional material on-campus

Provide us with copies of your promotional material, which markets your current employment opportunities so we can display the information in the Careers Resource Centre and distribute it to relevant faculties. Can your promotional material be recycled?

Students are interested in employers who are responsible corporate citizens so we encourage you to use promotional materials that can be recycled. Avoid wax covered and laminated paper. Consider carefully any free items you give to students at fairs or information sessions. Suggestions for recyclable items: calico/paper show bags instead of plastic, USB pens, bottled water, solar power adapter

Let’s work together towards an environmentally friendly marketing approach.
