Government Support

The Commonwealth government provides financial assistance to eligible families using registered and accredited child care services. These payments are administered by the Family Assistance Office (FAO).

Child Care Benefit is a means tested subsidy for child care fees.

Child Care Rebate is a subsidy for out of pocket child care expenses for eligible families.

The Commonwealth government’s My Child website has extensive information about early childhood education and care provision, including searching for a child care service.
