Partnerships
The Centre for Indigenous Education maintains close links with the various Indigenous Units, departments and affiliated insitutions around the University that support Indigenous education. The following departments are all within the University and play a major role in the promotion of Indigenous culture and research.
Australian Indigenous Studies at Melbourne
Australian Indigenous Studies at the University of Melbourne is an exciting interdisciplinary program that offers students an opportunity to learn about the history and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.The program is coordinated by Philip Morrissey in the School of Culture and Communications.
Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit
Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit is committed to developing a national and international profile in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health research and teaching, underpinned and informed by principles and processes of Indigenous community development. The unit is lead by Prof Ian Anderson in the School of Population Health.
The Wilin Centre - Victorian College of the Arts
The Wilin Centre is dedicated to providing a holistic approach to supporting Indigenous students and artists. This national centre is shaped by a seven-year strategic plan and offers student support, mentoring, tutoring, hosts artists-in-residences, cultural activities and celebrations in a friendly and accepting environment.
The Academy of Sport, Health and Education (ASHE)
ASHE is a partnership between the University and the indigenous community through the Rumbalara Football and Netball Club. By placing education participation in a sporting setting, defined and run in conjunction with the Community, ASHE will encourage Indigenous students to achieve educational potential and vocational outcomes.

Trinity College's web site provides news on visiting Indigenous scholars, resources for Indigenous students, including publications and scholarships and information on new initiatives at Trinity.
