GUEST SPEAKER:
Bruce Pascoe
Bruce Pascoe, a Melbourne University Alumnus, has written over twenty books, and also collaborated on “First Australians”, which became an award-winning SBS television series. He has Kulin heritage and is a member of the Victorian Aboriginal Corporation for Languages.
Bruce’s next book, “Bloke”, is being published by Penguin and is due for release in August. A book of fiction, “Bloke” tells the story of Jim Bloke; a man who has had a challenging life. He was adopted, is not too successful with women and he’s done time in jail. But he makes a fair fist of things on the half back flank and is also creative in the kitchen. “Bloke is a compassionate” and funny tale about triumph in adversity.
