Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme - ITAS
ITAS is a specialised tutorial program established as part of a commonwealth government initiative to enhance the educational outcomes for Indigenous people. The Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) provides funding to the Centre for Indigenous Education to enhance a student's formal educational program.
The Centre administers the ITAS program at the University where it utilises current university students to perform both individual and group tutoring for stuents across a broad range of areas. This service is provided free to Indigenous students at the University.
