The Centre also advertises many external scholarships that are available specifically for Indigenous students. There are also many opportunities for undergraduate cadetships with corporate and government organisations looking to support Indigenous students throughout their studies.

JASON
JASON is a postgraduate scholarship search engine. Scholarships in the database apply to Australian students wishing to study at home or abroad, and to international students wishing to study in Australia.
National Indigenous Cadetship Project (NICP)
The National Indigenous Cadetship Project (NICP) is an Australian Government initiative that improves the professional employment prospects of Indigenous Australians. It links Indigenous tertiary students with employers in a cadetship arrangement involving full-time study and work placements.
Residential Scholarships
Some residential colleges offer scholarships for Indigenous students. Information on the residential colleges can be found on the Housing Services website. Please contact the Centre for further information on how to apply.
Australian Research Council (ARC)
The primary aim of Discovery Indigenous Researchers Development is to develop the research expertise of Indigenous Australian researchers to a level which is competitive with mainstream funding. To be eligible to apply for funding, researchers must be of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. Further information about the ARC funding grants.
Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship (Closing date 8th August 2008)
Scholarships are available for the start of the 2009 academic year and are worth up to $15,000 per year for full time study ($7,500 per year for part time study) for Indigenous students who wish to study at the undergraduate level (and postgraduate entry courses for medicine) in the areas of:
Aboriginal Health Workers,
Allied Health (excluding pharmacy),
Dentistry/Oral Health,
Health Service Management,
Health Promotion/Education,
Medicine (including postgraduate entry courses),Mental Health,
Midwifery and
Nursing.
