Workmates
The people you work with can have a great influence on your life. Working while studying is usually a purely practical thing, but if you're not careful, its stresses and strains can affect the rest of your life pretty seriously, especially your education.
Before you decide to take up a job, it's a good idea to check out the conditions. What is the salary, what are the hours? Will you really be able to do what's being asked in an efficient, reliable way, or are you just going through the motions? Does the job fit into your study timetable and general lifestyle? Conversely, are you letting social commitments take over, leading to fatigue and possible financial problems? Keep a clear grip of your priorities at all times. Save some of that money, if you can, rather than just spend it.
What's your boss like? Is he/she someone who'll listen if there's a problem, or is it that they just don't want to know? How about the other people? There'll be some nice people, and some who are not so nice, but you're just there to work, after all. So while you're studying, try not to get too involved in anything beyond the job.
If you can't work out a problem at work and you've actually tried, instead of assuming it can't be done ask assistance from someone not directly affected by the situation, or speak to a Counsellor at the Counselling Service.
