Academic Support Workers (ASWs)

Academic Support Workers are casual staff employed by the DLU to provide a range of supports (including notetaking, accessible format editing) that assist students with disabilities to participate as independently as possible in their chosen course of study.

Academic Support Workers are recruited annually at the commencement of each academic year.
Advertisements are placed through the University Careers Online web site and in other areas of the University. Most support workers are drawn from the student population.
Applicants are required to complete a formal Application in which they address the Key Selection Criteria.
Applicants should provide evidence of their results (an H2B average or above) and they should be currently enrolled in at least second year of a tertiary course.
Successful applicants will be required to attend a compulsory Induction Session scheduled for February 2006.
