Serving Communities

University Strategic Plan:

To serve Victorian, Australian and wider regional and international communities through welfare programs, cultural activities, educational, scientific and artistic developments, and by promoting informed intellectual discourse and political debate.

Disability Related Issues:

Participation of students with disabilities in community and cultural life

The University is committed to facilitating the participation of students in activities beyond the classroom. The participation of students with disabilities in broader activities can be hampered by support traditionally being limited to only academic activities. For instance, a student who is deaf, who wishes to participate in theatrical events, may have difficulty in accessing sign language interpreting.
