Academic Success
Students with disabilities who are successful at Uni tend to be pro-active in understanding the
impact their disability may have on study and in negotiating services and adjustments in advance.
For some students this means that they are in regular contact with the DLU to obtain services,
for other students it means having a good working relationship with teaching staff.
Where adjustments are not sufficient to address the impact of a disability, you
are advised to apply for Special Consideration. If your progress has been problematic
your faculty may require you to attend an Unsatisfactory Progress hearing.
