Grievances and Complaints

The University is committed to providing the highest quality educational experience for its students. At times however, a student may feel aggrieved about a particular situation or circumstance. The University of Melbourne Student Grievances Policy provides a detailed outline of the process to follow to identify and lodge a complaint. The above mentioned policy covers academic and administrative grievances.

Complaints related to discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying are covered by the University’s Equal Opportunity Unit. Students with disabilities are also welcome to discuss concerns about possible discrimination with the Manager of the Disability Liaison Unit.

The Student Union Advisory Service can also provide advice and support for students who feel they have experienced unfair treatment.
