University of Melbourne policy and planning documents

The University's equity objectives encompass access for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, their ongoing support, effective monitoring and evaluation, together with communication of the University's equity goals both to the University community and externally. Growing Esteem: The University of Melbourne Strategic Plan 2006 affirms the University’s commitment to the principles of access and equity; the University continues to set engagement and recruitment targets for students from backgrounds, circumstances and locations that are currently not well represented in the University’s student profile.

The University of Melbourne has a range of policies and planning strategies designed to encourage access and participation of equity groups and to support diversity. The Cultural Diversity Policy webpage provide links to these, as well as to related Government departments and policies.
