Students with a disability or ongoing medical condition

This information is from the Disability Liaison Unit's (DLU) website. Contact the DLU for more information.

A key aim of the Disability Liaison Unit is to facilitate the access of students who have a disability to the University and to ensure that all those who gain access receive appropriate support services and administrative processes sensitive to their individual needs, enhancing opportunities for all students to achieve their individual potential.

From 1968, the University of Melbourne has actively encouraged students who have a disability to participate in addressing disability related issues.

The DLU strongly supports students who have a disability in becoming independent adults and in developing self-advocacy skills. Such skills can improve academic success and enable students to move more easily into the workforce on completion of their studies.
