Maintaining Private Health Insurance while in Australia is a visa condition for International students.
OSHC Worldcare is the preferred Private Health Insurance provider for overseas students and visitors at the University of Melbourne. OSHC Worldcare membership allows direct billing through this service.
There is a client service representative from OSHC Worldcare at the Health Service from 12 noon to 4pm Monday to Friday to help you with any enquiries. Renewing your membership can be done at the Health Service reception from 9am - 12 noon and 2pm - 5pm Monday to Friday. If your OSHC Worldcare card is not valid, you may also be required to pay for the consultation.
Students covered by other Health Insurance companies will be charged a fee payable at the time of consultation. Most of this fee is rebated to the patient when claimed by the patient through their insurer.
