The TUV is a community-based organisation that provides advice, assistance and advocacy to tenants. Their website is a useful resource with fact sheets on a variety of tenancy topics. Pages are also dedicated to student housing issues.

Please note the TUV will not deal with disputes between tenants in share/co-tenancy agreements. Co-tenancy disputes are referred to the Dispute Settlement Centre.

The TUV telephone advice line operates Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm and Wednesday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm.

Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) offer landlords and tenants information regarding their rights and duties under the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (RTA).
