Repairs

Under the Residential Tenancies Act 1997 (RTA) landlords have a duty to ensure that their rental property is in a reasonably clean condition at the start of the tenancy.

They are also required to maintain the property in good repair.

If your home needs repairs, you should follow the procedures set out in the RTA.

The RTA provides two different repairs procedures; one for urgent repairs and one for general repairs.
