Current student housing vacanciesThe current shortage of housing in Melbourne's private rental market has increased the demand on student housing providers located in the city and close to the University's Parkville campus. However, some student housing providers have advised that there will be some availability for Semester Two 2009. This includes the Residential Halls and Colleges, student apartments and student hostels. To make things easier for you, we will encourage student housing providers (and other general landlords) to list their vacancies on the AccomNet housing advertisement service. It is your responsibility to contact student housing providers directly to query available options and to organise your housing. Always ensure that you understand the terms and conditions of a tenancy agreement or contract. These documents are legally binding and if you change your mind later there will probably be financial penalties. If you are unsure about anything, ask us for advice before you sign documents. A location map and list of student housing providers is provided in our publication titled 'Student Housing Options: Information & Location Guide'. Check out our Publications page if you would like to download a copy.
Disclaimer: Please note that the onus of responsibility is with each student to assess all housing options listed on this website as suitable for their needs. Any arrangements, financial or otherwise, are strictly between the student and the share household/landlord/agent/agency. |
