Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE)
Students commencing before 1 January 2007 are entitled to the family rate of the contribution to living expenses (CLE) if they are accompanied by dependants who hold an AusAID dependant visa.
Students commencing on or after 1 January 2007 receive a standard rate of CLE, regardless of if there are any family members in Australia.
For ADS/ALA students, the CLE is paid in arrears on the University’s scheduled paydate every fortnight. It is paid into your nominated bank account. If you change your bank account details or would like to have your CLE split and paid into separate bank accounts, contact the AusAID support staff.
For APS students, the CLE is paid in arrears on the APS scheduled paydate every fortnight. It is paid into your nominated bank account. If you change your bank account details, contact the AusAID support staff immediately. Do not close your old bank account until you receive your CLE in the new bank account.
The CLE ceases five days after examination results are officially published for coursework students. For research students this is up to five days after the submission of your thesis.
