Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
Your OSHC is arranged for you by the University for the duration of your course. You will receive an OSHC card during the AusAID Orientation Program. Contact the AusAID support staff if the OSHC expiry date is earlier than your award end date.
It is important to inform OSHC Worldcare, the overseas student health cover provider, of your current address details. You can do this online.
For students commencing before 1 January 2007, AusAID covers the cost of OSHC for your dependants if they are holders of an AusAID dependant visa. To add family members to your health cover, visit the International Centre and bring your family member's passport, and enter your dependant's details on the OSHC Worldcare website.
For students commencing on or after 1 January 2007, AusAID only covers the cost of your OSHC. You are responsible for organising and paying the visa length OSHC for all family members before they arrive in Australia.
Visit the OSHC Worldcare website for more information about OSHC.
