Language Support for Spouses

Language Support and Professional Development Program is for spouses of international students and visiting scholars’ families.

Spouses of International students and visiting scholars are welcome to participate in the program. The program is free and provides general English lessons, professional support and the opportunity to learn about Australian culture and history. Participants also have the opportunity to develop friendships across cultures. Parents are welcome to bring pre-school age children to the English classes and weekly excursions. It is also possible to receive referrals to community-based English language support programs.

This program runs for 30 weeks during the academic year. Spouses with children under the age of five are welcome to bring them to the Program.
