Arrival Advice and Important Dates

Study Abroad and Exchange students must be available in Melbourne for the start of International Student Orientation.  Those students who do not arrive in Melbourne until after the start of Orientation must inform Arrival Services at International Student Services (ISS) of their anticipated arrival date.

Move in date: Residential Colleges 23 February TBC Earlier move-in dates can be arranged directly with individual Colleges after a place has been accepted.
First day of Class 3 March 28 July  
Mid Semester Break 21-30 March 22 September-5 October  
Last day of Classes 30 May 31 October  

Examination Period

9 June - 27 June 10-28 November

The University’s policy states that students must be available for the duration of the examination period. However, once students have fulfilled all their study obligations (eg. exams and assessments) for the semester, they can plan to return home (or travel!).
