Deferring course commencement
The University is required to inform the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) if you are unable to commence your course as indicated on your Confirmation of Enrolment.
In some instances, you can request for deferral of course commencement date on your original letter of offer. If you already have a student visa when you defer commencement, you will need to obtain a new Confirmation of Enrolment (COE) from International Admissions and notify the DIAC office that issued your visa of your deferral.
