Rita Manessis

Manager - Student Leadership Programs

Rita is responsible for the management of two key University student leadership programs - the Student Ambassador Leadership Program (SALP) and the Kwong Lee Dow First Year Program (KLDFYP). 

As part of her role, she develops student resources related to leadership, project management and community engagement and assists students with their group project endeavours.  She also works with University staff and external organisations to devise and further develop experiential learning and student engagement opportunities.

Ali Kassem

Student Volunteer Resource Service Coordinator

Ali joined the LIVE team in 2008 and brings a passion for volunteering in the community and a wealth of experience in community engagement and diversity.

Ali has extensive experience in community services working alongside volunteers; he has coordinated volunteering and mentoring programs, worked as an employment consultant with long term unemployed and taught in a range of community schools. Away from it all, Ali likes to spend time with his family, trying to keep up with his four young boys, keeping fit and taking time out to enjoy nature and the outdoors.

Theresa Li

LIVE Systems & Projects Officer

Theresa works with University staff and community organisations to coordinate projects and events which promote and support students in volunteering, leadership and community engagement.

As a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Coordinator, she provides assistance and guidance to students participating in the Award at University. Theresa is also responsible for managing LIVE's website, publications and Volunteers Online facility.

Zoe Dauth

Student Leadership Programs Assistant

Zoe provides support for the Student Ambassador Leadership Program (SALP) and the Kwong Lee Dow First Year Program (KLDFYP).

Her primary role is to liaise with students, professional and academic staff to promote SALP and KLDFYP within the University, to provide guidance for the various student group projects within both programs, and to promote student engagement throughout the University.
