Sra DisthapornInternational Postgraduate Coursework Award (IPCA) 2007 "The most challenging aspect of my course is to discover my own approach to architecture. The course will not tell you what to do; instead it is open to students’ ideas to encourage them to develop and to find their own direction. Another interesting aspect I found at the University of Melbourne is the mix of international students from around the world. I can learn not only from course subjects but also from my peers, from diverse ideas and experiences, which all are relevant and important to architectural learning." |

Jadah MilroyFay Marles Scholarship 2007 "Pursuing Postgraduate studies has enabled me to undertake more ambitious projects both domestically and internationally and has given me opportunity to critically reflect on and frame my practice. Since commencing the scholarship I have developed and piloted a Conflict Resolution training program using participatory theatre techniques in Laos that looks set to move into workplace training in Lao NGO's. Being supported to complete my Masters has given me added confidence to pursue bigger dreams. This scholarship has meant access to a high level of study, that as a sole parent I would not have been able to afford any other way." |

Brendan Hartwick Graduate Access Bursary 2008 "The principal factor which influenced my decision to study here was the offering of a graduate entry law degree. Combined with the generally impressive reputation of the University in relation to its staff, facilities and graduate outcomes, the choice was clear. We are also made to feel part of a larger community; the range of guest speakers and activities available through the Law School is little short of spectacular. The bursary I received made it possible to undertake study again." |

Vera Xueni LiangInternational Postgraduate Coursework Award (IPCA) 2008 "Melbourne University has always been regarded as one of the top quality universities in Australia and internationally. Studying at The University of Melbourne will enable me to gain valuable skills and learn from highly regarded academics. I have always wanted to be a psychologist and by undertaking the Master of Educational Psychology I can fulfil my career dream and become an effective psychologist. The scholarship is a major help with my uni fees. Without the scholarship I would not have been able to afford the international fees and fulfil my career aspirations." |
