Eligibility
To be considered for a National Equity Scholarship applicants must:
- belong to one or more of the following Access Melbourne categories:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a permanent humanitarian visa
- apply for a place through SEAS on the VTAC website
Selection
Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit as demonstrated by ENTER or equivalent and information contained in the SEAS application.
Application process
Submit an application for Special Entry Access Schemes (SEAS) online at VTAC from 3 August. Students who are eligible and have applied for SEAS will be eligible for consideration for the Melbourne Access scholarships. No separate scholarship application is required.
Timeline
SEAS applications for 2010 closed on 9 October 2009.
Outcome
Successful applicants will be mailed an offer letter in December or January. Unsuccessful applicants will not be contacted.Deferring your scholarship
- If you want to defer your scholarship, you must first confirm that deferrals are permitted in your course.
- You will only be permitted to defer your scholarship if you are permitted to defer your course place. Go to www.futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/ugrad/offer/deferpolicy for up-to-date information.
- If you are approved by your faculty to defer your course place, you must first accept the scholarship offer before you submit a request to defer the start date of your scholarship for one year.
