James Rapley

James Rapley

Melbourne Access Scholar, Seymour Technical High School
Bachelor Engineering (IT) Electrical / Bachelor Science

"I chose to study at the University of Melbourne because of the wide range of subjects on offer within the Engineering and Science Departments and my scholarship allows me to pursue studies in both electronic engineering and computer science. This gives me the freedom to move on to many different streams of electronic engineering as my course progresses.

Moving from the country to the city has certainly been a big adjustment, but living at Whitley College has made the transition much more enjoyable. It's allowed me to become involved in a huge range of social activities, without losing sight of my academic goals. I've found that living in a college is also a great way for me to meet lots of people from similar backgrounds. Many are dealing with the same issues as I am."
