Venue Information

Types of Teaching Locations on Campus

The University has a wide variety of teaching venues on campus, including lecture theatres in a range of sizes, standard tutorial venues, and advanced multimedia learning facilities.
Teaching Spaces Services are responsible for the the facilities in Centrally Managed Teaching Spaces. You can find out more about what types of venues are available on campus on Teaching Spaces Services pages. They also have detailed information on what the type of equipment in specific venues.

Familiarisation with Venues

The Timetable Office strongly recommends that you familiarise yourself with any venue that you have been assigned to run classes. This should be done as soon as you are aware of the Venues that your classes have been assigned into. You can visit the room online. If you have particular needs from a venue, and you are unsure if it will be suitable for your class, the timetable office recommends you physically visit the venue in question. A suitable time for visiting a venue can usually be arranged by contacting the Local Building Supervisor .
The earlier that you visit a venue (either physically or online) to ensure that it is appropriate, the greater the opportunity the Timetable Office has of finding a suitable alternative location if it is not.
