Administrative Enrolment requires you to complete important University and Government forms via the online enrolment website.

Australian students

What documents do I need to complete this step?
To complete this step you'll need to refer to documents such as your birth certificate, passport, or citizenship documents, and your tax file number (Australian citizens only). The documents you require will be detailed on your Enrolment Instruction Sheet (1Mb).
We strongly recommend that you complete and submit your Administrative Enrolment at home before you attend Academic Advice Day (AAD).

What if I don't have computer access?
If you do not have a computer and internet access, you are able to use the Student IT labs in the CSHE building (Map reference, H18). You would need to bring along the documentary details required to complete your administrative enrolment, as listed on the Enrolment Instruction Sheet (1Mb).

How do I pay my tuition fees?
Student tuition fees can be paid at any Post Office, by Bpay, by mail, by POST billpay, by telegraphic transfer or on the internet, using the Statement of Liability provided to you by the University, which can be downloaded from the Student Portal. Detailed information is provided on your Statement of Liability and Invoice.

Student Service Organisation membership fees: In addition to your tuition fee, you can choose to join your Student Association, which has membership fees. These membership fees finance the activities and/or services of the Student Union or the Postgraduate Association or Melbourne University Sport, depending which ones you choose to join. International students

International students complete their Administrative Enrolment after receiving their enrolment pack on 21 July 2008.

What is the enrolment process for International Students?


STEP 1: Attend your International Student Briefing on 21 July 2008

Here you will receive a welcome and essential health, safety and visa information. You will also receive your guides to enrolment and orientation:

Undergraduates:

Graduates:
Graduate Orientation program (938Kb) which includes Course Information, Enrolment sessions, AOPIPS; see Step 2)

International students enrolling in research degrees: If your negotiated course commencement date and planned arrival in Melbourne does not coincide with International Student Briefings on Monday 21 July, please see the International Student Services website for information on the enrolment process and settlement assistance.

STEP 2: Attend your Course Information or Enrolment Session
Here you will receive your enrolment pack (or be given a Student Adviser appointment time at which you will receive the pack) and further advice on selecting subjects and completing enrolment. Your enrolment pack will include:

STEP 3:
Plan the rest of your Academic Advice Day

Undergraduate students: Attend the subject and discipline information sessions as described in the Academic Advice Day brochure (970Kb). These sessions will provide you with the opportunity to receive a range of course and subject information. This will enable you to identify your preferred subject choices for 2008.

Graduate students: The Academic Advice Day brochure refers to undergraduate sessions only. Find your course information and enrolment session, as well as your orientation sessions using the Graduate Orientation program (938Kb).

STEP 4: Complete your Administrative Enrolment
The Student IT lab in the CSHE Building (Map reference H18) has been set up for students to complete their Administrative Enrolment online. You will be required to submit a range of information relating to your enrolment.

STEP 5: 'Submit' your enrolment
If the submit button does not appear, you have not completed your Administrative Enrolment. You must do so before you can proceed.

STEP 6: Complete your Academic Enrolment
Refer to your course-specific information for subject selection advice. You will be advised at your Course Information Session as to whether you are required to meet a Course Adviser to complete your Academic Enrolment.

STEP 7: Complete your next steps
Attend the International Student Fee Check Point to have your fees checked and to ensure your enrolment is confirmed.

All Students will then receive their Student Card from their Student Centre and Student Diary from the Student Union Information Desk.

Collect your OSHC card - from the Welcome Centre (17 to 25 July). Outside of these dates from the Student Health Service (Cardigan Street). You must have your student card in order to collect your OSHC card.
