Applying to be a volunteer
Applications have now closed for Transition Volunteers
Current applicants will be emailed by Friday 1 May and informed of a group interview time to attend. The group interviews will be held on Wednesday 6th May at 9:30am, 10:00am and 2:30pm and Thursday 7th May at 3:00pm, 3:30pm and 4:00pm.
Interview Format
At the interview you will be asked:
- to introduce yourself
- state your course of study
- and why you want to be a Transition Volunteer
You will then be asked to present for 2 minutes on a prepared topic: What was the biggest challenge you faced in your transition to the University and how did you overcome this? The other students in the group will be asked to think of questions that school students might ask and then ask you these at the end of your presentation.
You will be notified via email within a week of your interview informing you of the outcome. Succesful applicants will be asked to atend one two hour training session.
