Getting Started

Accepting Your Place

After receiving a letter offering you a place in the Extension Program, it is your responsibility to accept your place by completing Online Enrolment between Friday 11 January and Friday 18 January. Your letter of offer provides you with more information about this process. If you will be unable to enrol online by 18 January you must contact the Extension Program office via email to arrange an alternative date for enrolment.

Welcome Day

All successful Extension Program applicants are required to attend Welcome Day on Friday 18 January 2008. If you will be unable to attend Welcome Day you must contact the Extension Program office via email to receive details of alternative arrangements.

Textbooks

Prescribed books are listed on subject pages of the Extension Program website, however it is recommended that you do not purchase any books until you receive advice from lecturing staff in the departments, or your School Centre teacher at your first lecture/class.

Once you know which book/s should be purchased, most titles are available from the University Bookshop, which is located on the ground floor of the Baillieu Library Building. Visit their website or call 03 8344 4088 for enquiries.

Setting Up a University Email Account

Students are required to set up a University email account as soon as their enrolment has been confirmed. Email is the main method the University will communicate with you about important matters such as your enrolment, results etc. Your University account also allows you to access WebRAFT (web resources) for your Extension Program subject. Even if you have another email account which you prefer to use, it is important that you check your University account regularly.
