Parking at the University

If you need to drive, car parking is available on campus in designated car spaces after 5pm on weekdays and anytime on Saturday and Sunday for a fee of $5.00 per entry.

No parking is available on campus on weekdays before 5pm. (Exceptions may be made for brief loading/unloading of material).

Public Car parking is also available to the south of campus off Berkeley and Bouverie Streets, and adjacent to the Royal Melbourne Hospital off Royal Parade.

Other commercial parking operations can be found along Lygon Street.

Alternatives to Driving

The Venue Hirings office generally recommends that patrons use public transport to attend events at the University - trams run on a very frequent basis along Swanston St between the CBD and the University. Alternatively, it takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk to the University from the CBD. Bicycle parking is also available outside for free near most buildings on campus.
