Room Types

Venue Hirings are responsbile for bookings in three different types of venues on campus. These are:

Centrally Controlled Teaching Spaces (CCTS)
Lecture Theatres and Tutorial Rooms under Central Management
Meeting Rooms
Old Physics Meeting Rooms and Council Chambers.
Specialised Venues
Arts Hall, Wilson Hall and Asia Centre Carrillo Gantner Theatre and Yasuko Hiraoko Myer Room.

Bookings may also be made in other venues across campus that do not fall under the control of Venue Hirings. These include:

Grounds Bookings
Property and Campus Services are responsible for bookings of external spaces on campus.
Graduate Centre
The Graduate Centre has a number of meeting rooms available for hire in the 1888 building.
Woodward Centre
The Woodward centre is a flexible space showcasing a broad range of modern rooms in a warm yet professional business environment.
Kwong Lee Dow Centre
The Kwong Lee Dow Centre includes state-of-the-art videoconferencing facilities within a training room equipped with the latest technology.
Melbourne Business School
Melbourne Business School is purpose-built for business education, conferences, training courses and senior management retreats.
Student Union
The Student Union has a variety of venues available for hire including the Grand Buffet Hall, theatres, and private dining rooms.
Medley Hall
Medley Hall has some conference and meeting spaces available, as well as accomodation.
University House
University House has a number of rooms available suitable for larger conference events as well as private dining.
Melba Hall
Renowned for the finest acoustics for chamber music in Melbourne, Melba Hall is located in the Conservatorium Building at the Faculty of Music.
Melbourne University Sports
Melbourne University Sports has various on and off campus sporting facilities available for hire including the Sports Centre, the Beaurepaire Centre and the Alpine Lodge.
